biography

Lisa studied graphic design and advertising at the University of Delaware and went on to forge a creative career in advertising, becoming an Executive Creative Director at one of New York City’s premiere ad agencies.

She returned to her artist roots in the late 1990s and began working in pastel which proved flexible, fast and intense in color. She studied with Wolf Kahn and paints pleine air landscapes as well portraits, cityscapes and a series of French pastries that were inspired by numerous visits to Paris.

She first entered the Pastel Society of America’s Juried show in 1997, and was inducted as a member two years later. She was named a Master Pastellist in 2010 after winning numerous awards.

Lisa has been represented by galleries in New York City, Bridgehampton, Brooklyn, Charlotte, Stone Harbor and Englewood, NJ. Her work has been seen at the New York Armory and in numerous group and solo shows.

She, her husband and their dog live in Brooklyn and spend time at their upstate NJ lakeside cottage in the summer, where gets a lot of inspiration.
